HOW MUCH IS A TATTOO?
The price of a tattoo is largely dependent on 3 factors: size, placement, and amount of detail. We establish the final price by estimating the duration of the tattoo process. An hour of tattooing is 175,-
We have a minimum price that mostly goes towards the costs of the setup, drawing time and of course, the time spent tattooing. This minimum price is 100,-
Small tattoos will be priced per tattoo based on all the same aspects, taking the minimum price as a starting point.

HOW LONG IS THE WAITING LIST?
The size of the waiting list depends on the artist. Some artists are booked quite a few months in advance. Usually, this is with tattooers that specialize in a certain field. We always have artists available that can be booked shorter in advance, who are multi-talented and specialized in walk-in tattoos. This basically translates to; they love, and are great at, doing it all!

WHAT IS THE SHOPS SPECIALTY?
The Blue Blood Studios is known for its Japanese work, but we have many artists that excel in other types of work. Colorful anime-inspired, fine line blackwork, geometrical work & realism, just to name a few. It is fair to say, that we are an all-round tattoo shop that delivers high standard work in most, if not all, styles. If you happen to want a style we don't feel comfortable with, we will always advise you honestly and refer you to another artist or shop, who we believe will do the best job.

WHY DO I NEED A CONSULTATION?
We usually recommend a consultation for larger work. A lot of thought goes into the process of designing a tattoo; it needs to fit the body and its movement perfectly. This means that a lot of technical drawing comes before the day you get tattooed. Knowing what your body looks like, what your thoughts are on the design, and what is technically the best way to go, are best discussed in person. In some instances, it might even be best to have a drawing session on your body. In that case, the artist will draw a rough idea of exactly where it's gonna go. He will then take a print of it and use that as the starting point of your design. This way we (and you!) will know for sure that it will sit perfectly and result in the best possible tattoo, custom-designed for your unique self.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR A SESSION?
Get your rest the night before, eat and drink well before your appointment, and don't get hammered the night before. Shower, bring sugary snacks, and make sure your phone is charged.

WHAT DO YOU ADVISE FOR AFTERCARE?
We highly recommend a brand called TIGER SPIT BALM. We carry it in the shop and you can always buy it there. You can download a PDF here, with the full recommended aftercare guidelines.

DO YOU DO CONVENTIONS?
We have been to London Tattoo Convention most recently and will do more, as soon as we get through this Corona business.

DO YOU HAVE GUEST ARTISTS WORKING AT THE STUDIO?

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE?
The minimum age at our studio is 18.

DO YOU DO PIERCINGS?
We do not do piercings, but wholeheartedly recommend piercing studio Kanpatha

HAVE YOU IMPLEMENTED CORONA MEASURES IN THE SHOP?
We have gone out of our way to ensure a safe environment at our shop. Avoiding close contact is obviously an impossibility and that's the reason we have implemented a few things that are different from the normal times.
​
We have always been rigorous in cleaning the surfaces, but we've upped our game to surfaces that usually wouldn't get this intense level of hygiene, like the front desk and other areas that are not necessarily in contact with blood, but more with the touching of multiple peoples hands.
We ask everyone to declare they are not experiencing any symptoms, or have been in contact with anyone who is.
We ask everyone to come by themselves and in time.
We ask everyone to wear a face-covering at all times inside the studio.
